I want to have my own website for family photos, updates, etc. How do I get that and do I have to pay for it, or can I use another site?

You can use Frontpage if it's just something you're doing for your family. You have to pay for Web hosting but that's about it. Yahoo was advertising a special-hosting for $2.99 a year.

Go to yahoo geocitys. You can create a web page WYSIWYG, and post it free, there is a catch, they do have pop-ups on your web page. They are not too obtrusive though.
