That is not why your stomach is "growling". The sound of your stomach growling is gas moving through your intestine. The process is called Borborygmus it happens more often when you don't eat for hours. However that is not why it does it it does it because its a normal part of digestion.

Your stomache is trying to tell your brain that you need something in your stomach, or you are going to end up very sick in the morning. Even if it is a piece of toast, you need to eat something. you cannot sleep on an empty stomach-you are not going to sleep well at all.
