I ran a full virus scan and it detected none. I went to task manager and went to processes and deleted things except the main things like
alg.exe
csrss.exe and etc... but it still is flashing a fake virus alert advertisement for spywarequake. does anyone have any good suggestions?

Get a program named CounterSpy, load it, and run it. Your anti-virus software really isn't made to scrub spyware from your computer.

I'm not a big computer buff, but my roommate teaches computer forensics for a living, and this is the program he loaded. Keeps my system squeaky clean.

Get Ad-Aware.from Lavasoft.com and update it, then run a complete scan. Spy-bot Search and Destroy from downloads.com. Both are free. Update and immunize with spy-bot before you run a complete scan.
