Tweed is actually in but not top-to-toes.

Women- wear it a little cropped, with denim or linen (not more tweed). Vintage (Victorian-1920s style) jewelry goes well.

Men- wear with jeans, cords - not more tweed unless a formal suit (and you need a definites quirky style not to look like an old teacher!) no tie.

Tweed has the reputation of being stuffy and formal, so you need to balance it with more relaxed items.

A tweed blazer is cute if it is fitted and the cut of the jacket is feminine and flirty, I have a tweed blazer. I love to wear it with dark jeans, black heels or boots and pearls to play up the classic vibe.

You can wear tweed in many ways. In a more formal setting you might want to wear it with a skirt or black pants. On an every day basis feel free to wear it with jeans and a t-shirt.

It's so versatile, can wear with jeans (smart i hasten to add) or a nice pencil skirt and heels. In fact tweed skirts should always be worn with heels. x

With jeans and boots. I'd go for a fitted jacket that sits around the hip.

Put an arm in each sleeve, and make sure the open part is at the front. It's up to you whether to fasten the buttons or not.
