My computer shuts off after showing the windows screen and has done this the last 5 times I have tried to start it up.

Repeatedly hitting the F8 key when it is booting up.

When you turn your computer on you probably see the manufacturers logo i.e. Dell, Gateway, etc. You need to press F8 immediately after and before the 'Windows' splash screen. You should a list of start up options. There you will be able to select 'Safe Mode'.

When you restart your computer, a screen appears depening on the brand of the computer. It prompts you to hit either "F12" or F10" to access into the system settings. But this window lasts for a matter of seconds before it continues to loading up "Windows".

keep on pressing F8 key b4 it shows u the Microsoft screen it will give u the menu. Select safemode and press enter.

press F5 or F8 continously after you hit the power button..you will be given a list of choices.....use the arrow keys to choose "safe mode" and hit enter

hit F8 many times while your computer is turning on this will bring up a menu where you have to slect safe mode or it will happen instantally. it depends
