not unless you use a cheap brand like the usual $1.99 or whatever that are found in Kragen/Autoparts. I just used the BG 44K fuel injector cleaner, it is the cleaner that a lot of Mercedes Benz dealer use to clean the fuel injector. If mercedes use it, it means it must be very good. A lot of professional recommends it too, but quality comes with a price, a bottle of that would cost you $25 in dealer or cheaper over ebay.

not really. there some kits out there that plug in to a vacum line, like off the brake booster that send cleaner to the in to the the intake that work very well those kits include line and injestor cleaner that u put into your gas tank

If you didn't notice a difference after 10 miles or so, chances are it's not doing much good.
