IF YOU HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED with a lipoma or know someone who has, tell me about anything you have used or someone you know has used to shrink or dissolve it WITHOUT CUTTING or SCARS. People must have gotten rid of these things years ago without using a doctor. Thank You.

In the 5 years I have been treating patients, and the 15 years my father has been treating patients via non-surgical methods, I have yet come across anything that yet works.

I have read a few cases in which acupuncture has helped, but it hasn't worked on any of my patients.

If you find the answer, let me know.

Well, the only sure thing is to cut it out. But since it is not cancerous most people just ignore them.

I do remember reading something a long time ago that extra potassium in the diet helps keep them from growing. Potassium is found in fresh fruits and melons, so it is good dietary advice even if it doesn't work against the lipomas.

Getting a massage therapist to work on it could be a little effective. I have clients who have these and I have clients who have had them and gotten them removed. My clients with them currently still have me work on the area for a focused amount of time and they believe that it helps control the size. I have never gotten rid of one completely but my clients say that they went down in size a little and I have heard that I have slowed the growth. So I mean it's worth a try. But always check with your doctor to make sure it is not cancer and get it checked often if the size/color/ or pain changes.

I was told by my doctor that if it really bothers me that I can have a saline solution shot into it to break it up, but that it is painful. It doesn't really bother me that much, but if it gets bigger then yes, I'll have the shots. (A friend of mine had this for her varicose veins also, she said it was painful, but she likes the look of her legs better and thinks she is healthier now).

I had one removed from my back years ago, and it did leave one heck of a scar.
