No, people will say it anyway. We live in an opinionated society, where freedom of speech is practiced to the extreme. But I will say this...You, chicken boy, are a very nice man.

Yes, it still exists! I try to obey it ... but it's not always easy..!
Especially when someone shows me their new dress / ornament / boyfriend / dog / house etc. and I think it's truly AWFUL!!
I never know quite what to say ...! Usually I fall back on things like "that's a very unusual colour, you were lucky to find it!" "It's very 'modern', isn't it? I bet it was REALLY expensive!" "I've always liked the 'punk rocker' look - are all those piercings REAL? I used to have my hair that shade of green when I was his age!" "What a friendly looking dog! Did you get him from a rescue centre??" "Oh, you had a real stroke of luck finding a house available in such convenient area! Whenever you have to catch a train, you can just climb over the fence! How handy!"

I think it has been replaced by people's ideas of what it means to be honest. Being honest does not have much of anything to do with being critical and negative all the time. Honesty should be tempered with kindness and trying to be a support to those around you. If people would practice seeing things from others' point of view, all of the anger and negativity in the world could be greatly reduced.

Ok..i'll say it...sometimes nice is as much fun as bobbing for turd sandwiches. Nice to me is a random occurrence and, like most things, better when it's not forced into place.

It exists,just not on this site! Well that might be a slight exaggeration, but alot of people on here are just plain rude.

yeah it exists for me ! trying to think before saying anything or you'd better shut up ,but sometime it's hard to do that and for someppl that is really really hard to do

It does exist, but we need to keep passing it on to our children. My kids know it and have lived it, for the most part!!
