If you used BellSouth DSLModem, then NO you cannot use the DSL Modem to connect to AOL.

If your computer has a data modem installed then you can use ANY Dial up service to connect to the Internet.

Shop around for a cheap dial up service. AOL is not the only one..Earthlink, NetZero, People PC Online are some others.

You may want to find out if you need to return the Modem to BellSouth or they could charge you for it.

Bellsouth was your ISP. Them turning off your service does not affect your ability to go somewhere else unless, of course, they also turned off your phone service. You can use aol but you can also check out cheaper ones like peoplepc or juno. Note that I am not rocommending either other than they are both at a much lower cost than aol.

Was it a dial-up service or DSL? You didn't say. You should have a modem in your pc for dial-up.

I would try www.netzero.com They have a pretty fast dial-up service and only charge about $6.99.

AOL is a ripoff. You don't need to pay that much for dial-up service...ever.

Hope that helps.

Yes, you can use dial up to AOL but you will then have to pay them a monthly fee.
