I have always found L'Oreal's "Because I'm worth it!" to be the biggest example of a companies ego being bigger than their product. Ya, I am so pampered that I am coloring my hair out of a six dollar bottle of color that I can buy at the grocery store. Actually most make-up and hair products have much bigger ego's than their products are worth.

My favorite actual slogan (or "tagline") is probably for Genesee beer..."boy, could I go for a Genny now!" The line was always accompanied by some poor slob in a pathetic situation, like painting "CHEFS" in the end-zone of the Kansas City Chiefs.

By my all-time favorite jingle (which can be thought of as a slogan) is "my baloney has a first name, its O-S-C-A-R..."
It has been around since the 1970's, and it hasn't changed at all (new commercials, but the same song). I have friends from Japan who went to school here in Pennsylvania. That jingle was one of the few songs that we knew in common!

(The Oscar Meyer Wiener song--same company!--is popular worldwide, too)

"...'cause Oscar Meyer has a way with B-O-L-O-G-N-A"

(tell me you weren't singing just now)

There's an energy drink floating around here called "Some Poosi", or something like that. Each bottle has a pic of a hot babe on it. Go into a bar and ask for Some Poosi.

The breakfast cereal Frosties; There is a tiger on the front and he is saying "Grrrr! Eat!"(Grreat). They actually get away with subliminally threatening people to eattheir product. As far as neurolinguistic programming goes, it is a stroke of genuis!

This question is based on opinions. But, my pick would be McDonalds, I'm lovin' it, simply because it is SO catchy. Others would be like a building place I know, For a hole in the roof or a whole new roof.

I think one of the best slogans around right now is Capital One's "what's in your wallet".

i've always like nike's "just do it".
it's been around for years, now, and it keeps getting reinvented.
it's also become it's own catch phrase.

i would vote for Nike's slogan on this one.
