Green Day has made some moderate to very good songs. But overall they suck. They are in their 30s and still writing songs about teen-angst and how nobody "gets them" because they are "so beyond" mainstream. They need to grow up, let their music mature, and stop jumping on the it's-cool-to-bash- President-Bush-and-America bandwagon ... then perhaps they will suck less.

They were better before they released American Idiot.
I also hate hearing their songs on a "hit music station" close to a year after the album's release.

wow u people dont even know why they wrote the "American Idiot" album. its not because thy didnt like Bush. its because they saw that just about every punk band has done a political album. they just thought it was their time. im pissed at how people think that they wrote a political album because they were "jumping on the bash Bush bandwagon". If you dont know what u are talking about dont say anything.
i dont even like them that much now. but i liked them back in the 90s.

I love them too, and I consider they do have a message to get through, unlike all the fake, plastic pop, "artists" there are nowadays. And I like their message.

I love Green Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite songs by them are...... Mostly all of them. Did you know that Tre' Cool wasn't the original drummer?
