It could be a sign of pregnancy if you have implantation bleeding sometimes referred to as "break threw bleeding" which occurs when the embryo implants in the uterus. Its usually light but I know individuals that had it last a few days . Some like myself mistook it for a period and didnt think I was pregnant until I found out I was two and a half months gone. It could be spotting in between periods or it could be a sign that you are pregnant. I would follow up with a pregnancy test if its possible you could be pregnant early in the morning when you are likely to get the best results from a pregnancy test. Then I would get to a doctor to know for absolute sure.

Implantation bleeding is when the embryo (baby) implants itself into the uterine wall. This causes a small amount of the lining of the uterus to be shed, causing what is known as 'implantation bleeding'.

Implantation bleeding does indicate pregnancy, if that is confirmed to be what you are experiencing.

Implantation bleeding usually occurs before your period is due. This is because the embryo implants itself into the uterine wall approxiametly 10 days after conception, which for most women is still 4 days before her period is due.

Implantation is also lighter, and does not last as long as a normal period. This is because the whole lining of the uterus isn't shed, just a small part of it.

Implantation bleeding happens when the fertilized ovum implants itself onto the uterus lining.

It does mean that pregnancy has occured. Whether or not it stays that way is a different story.
