how do i make an ant colony disappear--it's colonized the guts of my laptop! (this is the third time they've done so in australia... what now...)

and for your information, it's not a food thing... i DON'T eat over my laptop. they're attracted to the electricity. would putting in the fridge overnight kill them all without hurting the computer?

they just seem to crawl out of its guts whenever i use it. and it is pretty much always on... this seems to be one of those "ants-are-attracted-to-electricity" things

Try to switch on your laptop for straight 2 days (48 hours).

The heat generated may make the environment unsuitable for the ants to live. Thay will move out.

Which part of your laptop has been colonized ?

if you can get access to a co2 bottle put your laptop in a plastic trash sack, shoot some gas in and bam! Dead ant.Borax and powdered sugar mixed together supposedly kill em too. Just don't let kids or pets get into it! If i could get any fine mesh filter screen to cover the holes and still allow air flow without the ant flow I would have to give that atry too.Especially if i wasnt ready to go computer shopping!!

Try getting a can of keyboard cleaner, you know the compressed air. Clean it frequently to prevent crumbs from getting in the spaces.
