Well you are correct the act of a period is nothing more then your body cleaning itself. Its the ovulation that you need to worry about... What you need to do, because every womans ovulation time during a period is different, is figure out at what time during your period you ovulate. This will give you the best chance of not getting pregant.

If you want to find out more about it look up planned pregancy... And they will tell you how to figure out when your ovulating so that you can predict it for the futur.

Yes you can. It all depends on if you are ovulating or will be in the next 5 days. The sperm live on average for 5 days inside of the women. If an egg drops within that 5 days then you have a good chance of it being fertilized. It is highly unlikely however that you will be ovulating so soon after but things do happen that may cause your ovulation to go haywire and drop an egg early...hence why some people get thier periods 2 times a month. If you are regular and always ovulate on a certain day then you will probably not get pregnant from that first day after or any day untill you ovulate. Pregnancy chances are very low right after your period. If you aren't on birth control, do the ovulation chart and basil temperature to know when to exactly expect ovulation.

No, you will not get pregnant.. But if you are trying to, then do the ovulation calculation, if you are not trying to get pregnant, stop having unprotected sex, there are many contraceptives out there.. Be smart and stop acting like a little girl... Think with your head and not your pussy...
