Sorry, I should have said that she is a friend of the landlord and he and others already know about the situation. Whatever I do, I don't want her to take it out on her son. If the circumstances were different (young child for example) I would have called the police.

Yes, you can first give notice to the owner of the problem. I would give 10 day, then tell them this is stressful for you, causing you depression, fear, and anything else you are experiencing. Then tell them if this situation can not be stopped you will be moving on ___________date and expect your security deposit back with references. Of couse, the state law would need to be looked up just to be sure. Go to Tenant Landlord Law for ___________state.?

Please call the police when you hear this. What she is doing is illegal and could result in someone being killed. Call your landlord and tell them that you are having problems with the noise. If that doesnt work, send an email if you have one for your landlord, if no help send a certified letter stating that you are moving and give a date and the reason why. I certainly hope you call 911 the next time this happens and if your nerves are shot imagine how that poor kid feels...you could be his hero.

Yes you can if other tenants are disturbing your peace and the landlord does not take action to cease the unruly noise.

Stay another couple of years though and you will hear the effects of a 19 year old beating his mother.

you probably can but there are some steps you must take first. If the lanlord does not evict the tenants then you can ask the lanlord to break it. if not, file a petition w/ the court ot break the lease on the grounds of your neighbors infringing on your right to live peacefully.

I don't know really. You should be able to contact legal aid and see what they tell you.

Good luck
