The lakers need some key free agent signings, Wallace wont be an option cause lakers dont have enough cap, and he is most likely to res-sigh(they guy saying he wont is talking out of his ***), they had a different GM back in the day, so times change the Wallace is Key in there defense. Pistons will give him a max, and Toronto seems to be 2nd in the running. Lakers need bench players, thats wat killed them in the phoenix series. If they can get some strong role player to go alsong side kobe and odom ,watch out for the lakers in 07!!!

They will have to bring in some better players that dont mind not being the #1 option. A lot of rumors circulating they will go after Ben Wallace (Bulls are working hot and heavy for B-B-B-B-Ben) who would be an ideal fit for LA (or any team for that matter) at center. Word here in Detroit is the Pistons wont resign him because he wants money & contract length better then his value. The Pistons are notorious about not giving max contracts regardless of player. When Stackhouse was coming off of averaging 29 pts/game with Pistons, they wouldnt give him max deal. Same with Grant Hill, even though that was because of injury.
The Lakers still need a better PG and PF. Odom is fine, but he is better suited at SF. The only players they dont need to improve on are Mamba (Kobe) and Odom.

Hope is a good thing - maybe the best thing, and no good thing ever dies
Well the way they played towards the end of the season and into the playoffs was incredible. If they can sign Ben then go Lakers else also they will be a team to watch out for in the next season.
The only thing they need to work on is Odom getting the confidence with which he played at the end of this season. I think Mihm will have a greater role to play in the next season

There are rumors of lakers wanting Shaq back or trading anybody(except kobe)for Kevin Garnett. In the new style of play in the NBA nowadays and the number of talents rising,Kobe just cant do it alone.
Jordan before not only had Pippen. But also Rodman,Kukoc,Kerr and Harper. Even if Jordan played in a team concept and let other guys score, they'd still win 6 championships.

Yes than can, will they is different, but if they trade some of their highly payed garbage, or just drop them, they can. Garbage players: Devon George, Sasha Vujajic, and Brian Cook, they have a pretty good starting 5

A little improvement is only better for them next year. The only star player is you know who, KOBE. He is the only player who could hit more than 30+ points in any game. Lamar in otherwards never hit 30 in any game.
