I would check with my local fire department. I think it has to be disposed a special way

Call your local Fire Dept. Non-Emergency # and ask for the proper way to do it. You can't throw them in the trash. Because of the contents it could possibly blow up if Jared a certain way and that could hurt someone. That is what I would do. Good Luck!!

Just wondering if you were aware that most extinguishers are ' rechargable'? You can have them fixed a lot cheaper then buying a new one. Check with your local Fire Dept. they could help you either way you decide.

I would look in the phone book for a company that refills them. I'd get it refilled. It could save your property or your life at a later date. The refill will last for several years, so in the long run it doesn't cost that much. After all, why do you have one in the first place? Good luck!

Any fire station will take it for proper disposal.
