6/6/06 is true -- it's a date. However I don't have hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia -- the fear of the number 666 -- whereas other people are either very religious or just superstitious, and think that bad things are going to happen. The only bad thing I know of that happened on that day was that during sport, someone I know broke their arm and had to go to hospital, but that could've happened on any other day.

666, or 'The number of man's shortcomings' is referenced in the final book of the bible, the book of Revelation (believed to be written by John the elder while imprisoned/exiled on the island of Patmos circa 96 AD).
The number 666 is regarded as the number or man, or man's shortcomings, as it falls short of the number 7 (which was considered perfection in ancient times). As the entire book of Revelation is filled with symbols and other forms of 'hidden' writing, it is often surmised that the reference to the number 666 is actually a reference to the Roman Emperor(s) during that time, Titus Flavius Domitianus (A.D. 81-96) and Marcus Cocceius Nerva (A.D. 96-98) or other notorious emperors. Since a lot of the cryptic writing in Revelation is believed to relate to Rome, and the Roman Empire, it stands to reason that the number 666 could either be a representation of a particular emperor or the shortcomings and anti-Christian actions of the Roman leaders in General.
It is sometimes argued that while the entire book of Revelation relates to events in the far future, most of it actually pertained to the present middle east world in the first century AD. Taken from that perspective, the book of Revelation is can be seen as a scathing revue of the Roman sins and evil mindedness. Since it was a crime punishable by death to criticize the Emperor, it is understandable that John the Elder chose to hide his true meanings in symbols and cryptology. The reality of what he was saying would be obvious to most Christians and Jews of the day, but would be misunderstood or overlooked by most Romans, who didn’t understand the Christian theology or ideas. While there is also reference in the book of Revelation to a 'Mark of the beast' that all will be required to have on their forearm and forehead, this is not the number 666.
The idea that the Antichrist will come to earth bearing the number 666 is complete fantasy and a superstition that was created by people that did not fully understand or read the book of Revelation.

Uhh, did that day pass, or am I really in hell?? The day indead exists, but it's only a day, much like 6,6,1906, or 1806, or 1866. I mean, what makes a day the end of the world? Tell ya what, if we make it past 12/12/2012, we'll even outlive the Mayan calender and prove that superstition wrong too.

6-6-06 (as in the date) is not true...however the number 666 is believed to be the number of satan...as it states in the bible, the number of the beast is 6, threescore, and 6 (which = 666). However, that's into religion, and a whole other argument.

In the book of revelations in the Bible, it says something about the number 666 being the mark of the beast, but it doesn't mean anything about the day.
Relations 13:16-18
" 16He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666."

It is the devil's number according to the Book of Revelation.
But the devil has no power that God or us as humans don't
give to him. If we were to be destroyed on 6-06-06, it would
have happened back in, hmmm, let's see...1906, 1806, 1706,
1606, 1506, et cetera, et cetera.

well, did anything happen to you on Tuesday? nothing happened to me, as a matter of fact, I had a good day, better than the last week. anyways, I don't think that there is anything true about it. I hope that you did have a good day and don't worry about old superstitions. they never seem to be true to me.

You probably already found out that the movie “The Omen” is pretty much just a made up horror movie. 6.6.06 didn’t mean anything. May I refer you to the Matthew 24:42 that says “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” It says that we won’t know when Jesus is coming back. It will be a lot less obvious than a movie.
