Since it could be from your rose garden, I suggest that you find the most expenditious method of mailing it such as UPS Next Day or Federal Express. Then you will need to trim some of the excess leaves from it and place it in a plastic bag with some water retaining granules (such is found at nurseries or from a florist). It should be protected from heat and cold by packing it with plenty of insulation. Put a directive THIS END UP on the package so that the bloom is usually held upright and the water medium is at the bottom of the package. The rose may be in bud form and ready to open prior to shipping.

Good luck and g'd day.

Most franchised florists are partners of InterFlora - worldwide flower delivery. Give them a call or look them up. And send a bunch while you're at it, not one measly flower. You're going to have to pay a heap for one rose - why not add a little bit more and get 10 or 12? All the best!!

Go to Yahoo Yellow pages and look for a flower shop in the same zip code. Look at the location of the store and pick the closest shop to your friend. Email or call the store and ask how much.

I know that's not easy. I tried to send one once in the same city and no one would deliver just one.
