could be..but if u want to make sure that its really labor..then u may wanna count the duration of ur contractions..contractions will last about 30-45 seconds, giving you 5-30 minutes of rest in between contractions..it may feel like aching in your lower back, menstrual cramps, and pressure or tightening in the pelvis area..its also typically mild, somewhat irregular, but progressively stronger and closer together! just keep track of the time of your contractions..
and false labor is the Contractions are irregular and unpredictable (for example, in intervals of ten minutes, then six minutes, two minutes, eight minutes, etc.)..its is felt as a generalized abdominal tightening..and if u like change in activity or position causes contractions to slow down or stop..
just relax..and ohh,did the water already break?

Could be labor, how exciting. My lamaze teacher was a nurse and she told us to always try the following before heading to the hospital...
Drink like a 1/2 gallon water over the next few hours. See if the contractions lessen or continue. Dehydration is like the number one cause of false labor.
Walk, if it's false labor, it will ease the contractions, if it's real labor, the contractions will increase.
Check for discharge, use a panty liner if you have one. Brown or slightly bloody discharge is a good sign you've lost or are loosing your plug.
Try something light, melon or yougurt, to see if that calms your tummy.
If your contractions persist and worsen, call labor and delivery or your doc with the times of your contractions, from beginning to on to the beginning of the next. Let them know you have tried the water and walking and be prepared, they may have you come in to be monitored and to check your cervix.
Good luck to you!

Point a million: Every social gathering has to discover volunteers to face as applicants. Not sufficient volunteers - no longer sufficient applicants. Point two: Standing in a hopeless ward, despite the fact that fascinating for all of the countrywide events, isn't continuously functional, and, of path, fees cash. Standing approach placing up a deposit, and publishing election fabric. Point three: In 2007 I do not suppose any social gathering is fielding applicants in additional than 60% of all of the council seats up for election. There is a ward close me that's definitely solidly Tory. A few years in the past the Tories could not discover a candidate. Nor would another social gathering besides Labour. So he received the seat by way of default. The man was once a conventional ancient staunch socialist and it was once really ironic that he spend four years representing a top Tory rural ward. The Tories made definite they publish a candidate four years later. P.S. If you are going to cite Shakespeare you will have to no less than fully grasp it. "Wherefore" truthfully approach "why are you", no longer "in which are you". Juliet was once asking why Romeo needed to be from a household with whom hers had a feud.

I never have pain with contractions. The hospital nurses didn't even believe I was in labour and I delivered about 10 minutes later :). I never had any show that I have lost my mucus plug. The only sure sign that I am in labour is that my water breaks, but I know plenty of women that their water doesn't break until they are 10cm dilated. If this is unusual for you, then you are most likely in labour. Good luck.

Are your "light cramps" coming in regular intervals? Like, say, 8 minutes apart?
If they're not regular, then you're either not in labor or it's very, very early in labor.
Why don't you call your doctor and find out for sure?
Oh, yeah, and when you're really in labor, you'll know. Trust me. Yeoweee!

I don't remember feeling bad right before labor started. In fact, I was full of energy and just wanted to go, go, go. You might just be coming down with a bug. The contractions could be real, or they may be braxton hicks contractions.....just take it easy, rest, relax. Babies seldom come on their due dates!

It very well could be early stages of labor!! Have you lost your mucus plug?? Watch for it on the T.P. That will be the proof that your cervix is opening for birth. If it continues into the night, it wouldn't hurt to go get checked.

Maybe you ate something that did not agree with you which could cause your tummy to want to reject the food which could spark up the labor process.
