This is a serious question ,and I hope for your maturity when answering.I just read a book about the survivors' story of the 1972 plane crash in the middle of the Andes. They were literally starving, and ate those who had already died.I think that we REALLY do not know what we would do in those tragic circumstances.Do you agree?

There was NOTHING else in these circumstances. No trees or vegetation,or insects,etc...they were high up in the south American Andes.

It doesn't matter what your ethic is about this issue, because when confronted with the circumstances the part of your brain which cares about thinking has already been knocked out. In a case of severe starvation, the only parts of your brain and body which are working and using what limited energy you have are the ones of primitive survival. You eat what there is to be eaten, period.

in extreme situation like that all man-made moral is fading away. Body taking over mind completely, dictating its needs. Body has very primitive consciousness and that would be devastating. For most people moral is the base upon which everything is build.Losing a foundation human turn to animal, unless a Faith as little as mustard seed will be allowed to take over whole situation. Yes, in that kind of situation we have no idea how reality will be perceived and how we would act or react on it. So better not to judge and enjoy now what we have.

The people they were "eating" were already dead.
I don't see a problem with it.
In fact I hope someone would be so kind as to eat my corpse that I've spent many years developing into a fine plate for a carnivorous animal.

Yes, in the most dire circumstances I believe I would eat human flesh in order to keep myself alive. Plus I'd be rather curious as to what it tastes like.

Afew days ago I saw a similar feature on tv and I was so shocked. At any circumstances I feell human flesh should noy be eaten by humans. There is nothing more inhuman than this.

There would always be some type of food whether its plants or from the sea. I would never eat human flesh at least not knowingly. That would be murder. Since I believe in the afterlife, I believe that there is no way you could murder and not be a part of the afterlife.

I know that story, it is very disturbing! I do agree with you, you cannot really know until you have lived through a situation as horrifying as that.

We probably can't say for sure what we would do, but I seriously don't think I could eat other humans, even if they had died.
