Well, first, she isn't dead.

Second of all, Margaret Thatcher was really important in two vital ways:

1) She reversed socialism in Britain, and really proved that capitalistic economies really perform much better and ultimately provide greater prosperity and happiness for a greater number of citizens. Although she was despised at the time by vast numbers of Englishmen, she was ultimately right.

2) Thatcher was also the first member of the NATO alliance to be resolute in the face of the Soviet Union's aggression in the late 70s. Carter sure wasn't going to stand up to Brezhnev. Thatcher gave the West the heart and spirit to face down the Soviets, ultimately leading to the Soviet Union's demise. Anybody under the age of 30 probably can't remember what a scary thing the Soviet Union was.

Margaret Thatcher was born on October 13, 1925, in a town called Granthom in Lishire England. Her father Alfred Roberts was the minister of the local methodist church. Margaret attended a all girls grammer school she latter went on to somersville college in Oxford, where she studied chemistry.There she became the president of the Oxford University Conservitive Association.She graduated with a second-class degree in chemistry, worked as a research chemist for British Xylonite then J. Lyons and CO. Where she and her co-workers devoloped the first soft serve ice cream.
During the 1950s elections she ran for the conservative party, she fought for the safe labour seat and was the youngest woman to run for it. This is also where she met her husband, Denis Thatcher, they married in 1951. In 1959 she won the seat in the House of Commons, there in her maiden speech she supported the Private Members Bill. In 1961 she went against her partys bill.
She was given a early promotion to Parlimentary Secratary,in Sep. 1961. In 1970 Margret Thatcher became the Secratary of State for Education and Science. This led to many protest in the country about teh abolishment of grammer schools. In 1974 the conservatives Thatcher recieved another promotion this time to Shadow Enviroment Secratary. On January 19, 1976 she made a famous speech in wich she attacked the Soviet Union her most famous part of the speech is the followin "The Russians are bent on world dominance, and they are rapidly acquiring the means to become the most powerful imperial nation the world has seen. The men in the Soviet Politburo do not have to worry about the ebb and flow of public opinion. They put guns before butter, while we put just about everything before guns."

In response the soviet union dubed her "the iron lady".
Spring 1979 Margret Thatcher became the first Lady Primeminister. some of her acts as prime minister were as follows:
the North Ireland Conflict
Falkland Factor
commited to reducing trade unions
On the morning of her 59th birthday she narrowly escaped a bombing at Brighton Hotel carried out by the Provisional IRA, durring the conservative party conference. These were just some of the conflicts that Mrs.Thatcher dealt with during her run as Prime Minister. Her run as Prime Minister ended in '92.
Her husband died june 2003. October 13 2005 Margaret Thatcher turned 80.

She was born and she died. For some time she was the prime minister of England. End of Biography. Her legacy is that women can be avergae looking and can become a prime minister without sleeping with anybody.
