how do i manually save the game while playing 'soilder of honour' on the ps2.?

i tried through the start button and all other combinations but there is no provision for manual saving.thanks

Soldier of honour is one of those kinds of games where you can only save it at certain locations during the game, which makes it more difficult for the gamer, and keeps you glued to the screen for longer stints, which in turn makes you want the latest accessories to assist you in managing these long stints (more comfortable wireless controller, etc), which therefore makes the company more money. Manipulative, I know, but you chose to buy that game, so you must accept the restrictions as it comes. take the good with the bad, no doubt the game is state of the art and super entertaining.
