I'm gonna be moving from Cali to Las Vegas in about a month. What are some things that I must do or that I need to look for ( I already have a place and a job FYI) when someone moves from one state to another?

Depending on what you are moving with you, you might want to hire a professional moving company. Look around for prices. Now, if you are just taking things that fit in your vehicle you do not need a professional mover. Pay your last utility bill, forward your mail, check on your auto insurance--make sure it is up to date until you can change your car registration, have a farewell party for your friends and travel. It is really simple after you decide what not to take on your journey. Best wishes on your new job and new life.

Be sure to change your auto registration right away, and your driver's license, too. There is a reward program for locals to turn in slackers who live there and don't change to Nevada registration. NHP will get you!

get ready for the license/motor vehicle registry line - unreal! I converted last yr. Hundreds even 1st thing. Rest of it takes care of itself as establish utilities & forward mail.
