According to the rap stars it's a bunch of guys shoving their face really close into the camera and yelling "What!?" and then some good old fashioned jiggly T&A.
Word.

Well, I'd rather see the band playing, but the photographers never seem to know who to aim the camera at. Like when the guitarist is soloing, and they show the drummer or the crowd. Stupid dumazzes.

I think that evocative images that make you think, makes a video timeless. For eg. I can look at the video for REM's "Losing my religion" many, many times and never get bored. There is always something new to discover.

It depends really, whichever reflects the band more or what they want to show out of the song and its meaning to them. Uniqueness I believe.

girls would probally say- a drama like story
guys would say- anything with hot girls in it[ if there is any respectable guys who dont say that then good for you!]
i say a good music video is a story , not dumb but something that relates to the song

I think it has to have something memorable in it. Take U2's "Vertigo" - I don't remember U2 playing, I remember the constant movement in the video.
