Macedonia is in Greece. {Entire north Greece is the province of Macedonia (in proper Greek “Mακεδονία”).
Do not confuse real Macedonia in Greece with a small state that emerged from Yugoslavia. That small state is called Republic of Makedonija (its own name!!) or Fyrom (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia)(the international name) or Slav Macedonia(as all the neighbors states called it)! {Republika Makedonja is officialy traanslated by UN (and oficially recognized by UN and Eropean Union) as Former Ygoslavic Republick of Macedonia (FYROM) }. That small state instead of using its name its using the Greek name Macedonia or Makedonia trying desperately to link itself with the glory past of the Greek region (ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia was the homeland of Alexander the Grate). That effort of course is not a problem! Everyone is entitled to link himself with any past he likes! It is totally acceptable! The problem is with the fact that the state of FYROM or Makedonija(pronounce as makedonitsa) is deliberately trying to prove that ancient Macedonia was not Greek and that real Macedonia in Greece should be returned to them since they use the same name! Remarkable isn't it!
The paranoia of that state is so incredible that although their language (makedonijian) is a Bulgarian dialect they refer to it as Macedonian. Although the last 50 years they were called Makedonijans or Slav Macedonians in recent years they refer to themselves only as Macedonians conveniently forgetting to say that they are Slavs.
And if you want any proof that they are Slavs here is what the first President of FYROM (Slav Macedonia), Kiro Gligorov said: “We are Slavs who came to this area in the sixth century ... we are not descendants of the ancient Macedonians" (Foreign Information Service Daily Report, Eastern Europe, February 26, 1992, p. 35). Also, Mr Gligorov declared: "We are Macedonians but we are Slav Macedonians. That's who we are! We have no connection to Alexander the Greek and his Macedonia… Our ancestors came here in the 5th and 6th century" (Toronto Star, March 15, 1992).

Of course I do!
1948, Stalin (the USSR Secretary) invites Tito (the Yugoslavian President, of Croatian descent - if I am correct) and orders him to rename Vardaska, the southernmost region of Yugoslavia to Macedonia, since the decision of the world leaders was to brake down the nations and create groups which they will be able to manipulate easily!
Thus, since 1948, a brainwash started to the people leaving in the northwest region of Macedonia, occupied by Slavs, with the eulogies of the superpowers (USSR, USA, England, etc.)
Now, 58 years later, there is no such state, republick of Macedonia! The occupied regions are: in the northwest, occupied by ex-Yugoslavia, now the state is abbreviated called FYROM, while the northeast is occupied by Bulgaria. Both regions have been brainwashed by, initially the USSR, now by many without historic knowledge. People, in their poor condition, need some goal in order to forget the Truth. Thus, the governors of FYROM, instead of looking for the good of the people they are misleading them into nonsense efforts and the lives of our brothers there are consumed and sacrificed to the benefit of the few put there to govern and the international politics, which instead of promoting peace and improving living standards, they split people and make them hunt fantastic beasts!
Please, think what is the Truth, what is the benefit of you and your children, what is the Best!
With love and interest, S
