Look on the lower right side of your computer task bar. Those applications are using memory. Right click on one you are not using and close it. It will come back next time you start your computer. Hint Instant messanger programs use a fair amount. Beyond that I have no idea of your level.

try the free trial of wintasks ... or find a copy of the full version... close and applications, end processes that are unnessisary, clean registry, clean cookies, close any windows services that you dont use *careful some you will need so take it slow*, clean boot up..

get more ram from the computer store. First look inside your computer or consult the manual to see what kind of ram you need or if theres even some available slots.

Remove any programs that install at startup. You can use a program called recleaner to do this. Find it at www.majorgeeks.com/download460.html

I know there are programmes that run in the background on your system that can do this, one is called rambooster
