For those that think you have to be thin to be beautiful has been suckered into the "Mass Marketing Machine" that makes you feel that you have to buy their product(s) in order to be attractive.

Billions of dollars have been vacumed out of wallets and purses of those that have been made self conscious about their appearance by these companies.

Magazines that portray this "ideal" are equally to blame..... can you say "air-bushing"?!

A woman with a little bit of meat on them, or one not afraid to actually EAT a full and healthy meal means they are capable of having healthy children. Moderation is the key.

To all of those that have commented on my picture and my weight on Yahoo Q & A..... get stuffed. I am who I am. If you don't like it, too bad. Feel better about yourself some other way. That is why you condemn heavier people, right!

Yes I admit I have been sucked into it. I was packing for a trip recently, and I was amazed at how many beauty products (including cosmetics and hair care products), that I was taking with me. I always buy the latest magazines to see what's "in" and what's "out". I enjoy dressing up, wearing my high heeled shoes and looking glamorous. I wear make up even to go to the grocery store, because I never know who I'm going to meet. I admit it. I am a vain creature.

But shame on those who criticize you. I personally prefer a man with more meat and muscle than a skinny guy. In fact my significant other is quite a large guy, and I absolutely love it.

Good points. I deliberately go out of my way to avoid being a victim of commercialization and the Mass Marketing Machine.

Like yourself, I am who I am and this means I get to wear what I want to wear and not what the fashion industry tells me to wear. I eat what I want, listen to the music I choose and life the lifestyle that I decide. And do you know what - how much better is that than being someone else's puppet.

As for anyone commenting on your picture or weight - so what. You're obviously not bothered or you'd have used a different picture or made up an avatar and if you're not bothered then why should anyone else be.

Maybe you should consider getting sucked into that mess. There is no reason for you to be so big. You have no pride in yourself. If you did, you would not be bigger than the picture of yourself. You are offended by the mass marketing machine because you do not fit in with the people that it was intended for. I do not want to offend you, but you have enough room on your face for two normal sized faces. Put the hotdog down and go for a walk. Your "ideal" of being fat is not my idea of living a healthy life. Quit knocking normal size for your supper size. That is your choice to be so heavy. How is your blood pressure? Who is to blame for it being high? You and only you. I would bet that you have a natural stink to you. Inside of those fat rolls that you have, are a lot of rotting skin flakes just waiting to be washed away. Your lack of desire to look good, is from a certain amount of laziness. Because of your laziness, you probably do not wash in between your fat rolls which gives you the stench of filthiness. Go on a diet and stop blaming the mass marketing machine.

It's a daily battle, but I've held firm so far. No one has ever been able to live up to the "ideal" weight, otherwise it would be called the "norm". I understand what you're saying and I try not to let the media tell me what to look like. I'm healthy and I won't risk my health by eating dry salads and rice cakes 3 times a day! Keep up the good work!
