I was on the pill for 4 years as well and after I stopped, I didn't get a real period for 7 months. That was 2 years ago and my periods are still not regular. If it bothers you, go see a doctor.

you will still have your breakthrough bleed which is common to be light after finishing the pill. It may take a couple of months for your own hormones to kick in again and go back to a natural cycle. Don't worry about it, but if you go longer than 3 months without a period and you aren't pregnant, then mention it to your doctor. Other than that, it's normal to have a light period straight after coming off the pill.

your body is just adjusting to not having the pill...it is said you can get preg while on the pill but since you have been on it ofr so long it might need some time until your periods regulate.. good luck

I just stopped taking it a few months ago and have been screwed up too. Give it some time for your body to adjust and you'll get back on track.

Yeah, it can take a bit for your body to adjust to post birth control. Sometimes you might skip your period totally, other times you might get it for days and days.

If you are really worried, I would call your doc...especially if you have pain, heavy bleeding, abnormal discharge or severe headaches.

if you are on the pill- a doctor prescribed it for you. to be safe-ask the doctor. You did not list many details. We are not doctors.

It was probably spotting. If you are unsure or uncomfortable, call your doctor's office for advice.
