When I was just past 18, and my oldest daughter was a few months old, my ex husband, who was abusive, went on the war path. I told him to leave me alone or I would leave. He had been shoving me down, hitting and kicking me, so I calmly started packing our things to leave. He came from the bedroom with a .22 (I THINK that's what it was... this was a long time ago). I was changing my daughter and getting her dressed in her crib in the living room and he stood there, loading it. He told me to put her down and that if I tried to leave with her, he would shoot me. I told him I wasn't leaving without her and I wasn't putting up with him hitting me. I put her in the bed and was packing her diaper bag when he ****** the gun. I looked up to see it pointing at my head from across the small room. The look he had was pure evil. His eyes were normally green, but were this gold-green like a cat's and I froze, standing there. I asked him how he was going to explain to our daughter that he shot me and that's when he took dead aim at my face. I closed my eyes and heard a click, followed by him cursing and opened my eyes to see him fiddling with the gun! He put it up, aimed and I heard (and saw, this time) a click. He was pulling the trigger, but it wasn't firing. My heart nearly beat outta my chest and I just looked at him. I told him I guess he wasn't going to shoot me today. He threw the gun on a chair near him and stormed off into the bedroom. I sat down on the couch because my legs were ready to give.

His dad came and got the gun. He said the bullets he was trying to load the gun were the wrong kind and that's why it wouldn't shoot. I don't remember much after... just during... THAT will play in my head like a movie... I even remember exactly what he and I were wearing that day. I don't think I will ever forget that. The dumb jerk, to this day, says ah, he wasn't going to shoot me, blah, blah, blah and acts like it's nothing. BTW, he's my ex and the cops in the town were so crooked that they gave me hell for reporting him and he DIDN'T go to jail, that time.

Once, when I was crossing the street when I was a teen...I saw this grill out of the corner of my eye. It was a red pick up truck. Coming right at me. Then I woke up in an ambulance...briefly...and was back out. Cold. Then woke up in the hospital a few hours later...wondering where my pants were and why I had to walk to the xray machine. If they thought I needed xrays...should I really have had to walk?? Stupid. That hurt. But nothing was broken. Just a concusion and lots of scrapes and bruises. The whole left side of my body was a scab from skidding across the pavement. But I did get out of gym class for a couple months...and went to physical therapy instead. It was scary at the time...the hospital...because I had no idea what was going on or what happened. I don't cross major streets anymore.

I was scanning pictures from my trip to New Orleans late one night and I saw this weird light in one of the pictures that wasn't supposed to be there. This picture was taken on one of those walking night tours. It was a house with this huge cornfield in front of it. My tour guide said that the place was haunted by three boys who had died in the neighborhood due to a fire. Anyhow, I zoomed in on the light and just a little to the right of the light was the face of a little boy.

well, two summers ago.....
Thunder boomed from the distance as lightning continued to strike...causing my flesh to creep.. i layed on the family room couch as frightened as can be, when suddenly a loud crash shook the whole house...only it wasn't thunder.
i jumped out of the couch almost sliding across the kitchen floor. my jaw dropped as i realized what had just happened i couldn't believe it! a car crashed in to my house.
