I've noticed that things can get very depressing here in the LGTB section. We've got the angsty teens whose parents wont accept them, the troubled folking struggling with their gayness later in life, the raging phobes, those poor lonley people with bizarre fetishes, and the people trying desperately to get laid.

So to lighten the freakin mood around here, what is wonderful about your life right now? It doesn't have to be a gay thing (although a little hope for our closet dwellers would be nice) and this question is open to straight people too. Lets stop dwelling on the negative for a moment and share how beautiful life can be!

The fact I'm coming up on 26 years with my Best Beloved. She's my world. Every day she's at home (she drives a semi) is a gorgeous spring day. I can't say "I love you" often enough.

Everything, it is a lovely summer, we are going to do some house repairs and then switch to solar microgeneration for our energy needs -- the state says that the utility company has to buy back excess energy at market rate -- so, if we have a decent battery array (which we will) then every day of sun per month after 3 will be producing income for us. We are going out to Lillydale for a few days at the end of the month. Some of our dearest straight friends are getting married. I could go on and on.

Life is wonderful. Embrace yourself and LIVE.

I have a wonderful girlfriend who is there for me and needs me as well. I have 3 wonderful kids who are smart and funny. My kids don't care that I am a lesbian. My divorce is (finally) final! I love that I finally am happy and don't have to dread going to bed because a man is in there. I live 1hour from the beach and it's summertime. All my credit cards are paid off and I only have 1 more year until the car is paid off. Sex is great!!! My girlfriend got her PhD and will be getting a great job paying more than her Dad ever made in his life.

My life is wonderful, because I am able to get up every day by myself, take care of all my needs, I walk, talk, see, hear, all on my own. I feel so blessed that I have found someone who I adore and am adored back. I will never understand some people when I tell them good morning and they reply what's so good about it. I work with the disabled and mentally challenged, I count my blessing and thank God everyday that I am the one helping them.

I am enjoying some time from college, by reading some good books. Poetry and Stories...it is a real pleasure taking the time to just read.

I like to read Auden, and Woodsworth for poetry. For reading books...I'll read anything from why Wal-mart is bad to travel books.

Planning my Europe vacation next year....that is a lot of fun. Deciding on whether to go to London, Paris, Germany, or Italy.

Travel sure gets your mind off of yourself....so does reading.

We are big on landscaping at our house. Our daughter is 18, and just began college this summer. Our family is happy and healthy and dong pretty well. We are very blessed and thank God every day for each other.

I actually met someone I really really like because of YA, we both wrote the same answer to a question at the same time. She emailed me commenting on it, and we've be emailing every day for a month since then. I'm really glad I met her even though she's far away. (no, I'm not telling who it is :). I've been feeling really happy about it.
