Has anyone tried one of those "work-from-home" programs and did you have any success?

no they all seem like a scam. most of them require u to pay money by credit card. which is stupid.

I am making a great living online and only started 6months ago. If you want to know more send me an e-mail and I will send you to some great places to make money from home online.
Any body that has started a business will tell you you have to invest something to get it started. In most cases an offline business will not get you any returns for months sometimes years.
I had a return on my investment is 36 hours!!
Now its 85% profit. But I have worked my hinney off to get it at this stage.
These are not get rich quick schemes and all require you to do some kind of work and to invest time as well as effort in to them.
If you are serious you can make an awesome living online.

I have my own website and I'm in control and not anyone else. I learned from signing up for all the newsletters I could and bought a couple of ebooks on the subject. Found some good ones at this site.

They are not all scams. You ahve to research them. I have a ligit one that I am doing right now. It is so ligit, that it is on the NASDAQ, which is not an easy thing to do. If you are interested, email me and I can send you more information.
