Have you ever noticed that fathers are nearly impossible to shop for? They never give up any hints of what they might want - so you go out and buy them something that you never see them use. So what exactly is the perfect fathers day gift for those fathers who keep a low profile and are next to impossible to shop for? HELP!

As a "Dad".......the reason we never give hints is because we don't want you to spend your money on us.....For me, It makes me uncomfortable knowing that this holiday kinda forces the kids to buy me something. I would rather they make something for me or just show their appreciation for me on father's day. That's my two cents.....and two points.

Give him a video of a movie he really likes. You might also compile a tape or CD of songs with his name in it (Joe or John or Michael will be easy), or find novels with characters with his name.

If my family insists on getting something, I prefer something practical or some really cool gear.

I think...all they really want... is to know their kids love them, thought of them of their special day, and want to spend time with them. My dad's always fine with just a card and a big ol' hug. I might even let him get me with his whiskers. eeww. (hehe)

He even asked me and my sister to go fishin' with him this weekend. I can't wait. That's what my dad loves, and he really deserves it.
