I know that the well would vary depending on the depth that they have to go to in order to hit water (or however that works)... but any rough guesstimate would be more than we have now. Maybe a low and high end guess.... anyone? Thanks !!!!

In all but the eastern mountains, a septic system should run somewhere between five and seven thousand dollars. All bets are off in the eastern mountains due to the soil complsition and terrain.

Minimum price for a well in the western part of the state somewhere around $5,000.00. Central and northern part of the state $7,000.00. And again, all bets are off in the mountains.

Call your county health department for information regarding a septic system. They should be able to give you a ballpark figure for your specific area. Call your county surveyor's office for information on a well. They should be familiar with local water tables and geological formations and should be able to give you a ballpark figure for a usable well.

Good luck with your search for information.

Ooh, I would rather dig up a pygmy person of West Africa and I don't care who helps me. Nobody is really as useful as they seem to be.
