my opinion: divorce is a bigger threat to marriage. if two guys want to get married, only a bigot would stick their nose in that.

Well, today's society still frowns on anything out of the ordinary and gay marriage is a BIG deal. It doesn't hurt anyone at all except for the ego's of closed-minded dumbasses who can't accept the fact that change is inevitable.

The Christian folks and the religious folks see that as allowing more and more of the moral fiber of the American people diminishing if they allow gay marriage. Being that G.W. Bush is from Texas and its the Bible belt around here, he's really in tuned to the religious right wing.

It is a big deal because that was not God's intention. Marriage was design to be between a man and a woman.Please read what happened in Sodom and Gomorrah.Also notice the very animals that went in the ark was by pairs one male one female.

We serve an awesome God, can you imagine he still loves us? however he detest sin.

It doesn't hurt anyone. People should be able to do what they want.
With the divorce rate at 50% maybe they should concentrate on heterosexual marriges and leave gay people alone
Isn't America supposed to be the land of equal opportunity?????

because religious fundamentalists and other (in my opinion) ignorant and intolerant people believe it damages the "family values" of our society.

There is no physical injury, except that people are uncomfortable with homosexuality and think that it is a sin, or somehow immoral and wrong.

because its a starting point for gays to adopt, and i dont think kids should be raised in a same sex marriage, kids learn by there environment, if thats all they see they wont know what to do or be

but some people are very religious & gay marriges goes against what they believe in. & that can hurt too.

It doesn't hurt anyone, except for the family members who find it shameful, other than that anyone should mind their business. and too bad family members feel that way also.
