In MS Word, select Insert/Symbol to view the list of symbols you can insert into a document. These symbols will have a corresponding Character Code typically 1-255. Once you know the code, select the font and hold alt and the code number padded with 4 zeros, such as alt 0041 for Character Code 41. You can use this same technique in Wordpad if you don't have MS Word, but MS Word has this font viewer to show the Character and its corresponding code. You can download other fonts, some of which you have to pay for. This will allow you to do all musical notes, for instance, but that is really a separate question. I haven't checked, but I'm sure you can download font viewers if you don't have MS Word, or simply do zero to 255 in a document and then "select all," and change the font.

ok.. another way to get them besides the alt-168 kind of thing.. is to make your own font using font creation software.. then you can make any symbols you want.. like in the Ding Bats fonts
