My biggest temptation is smoking cigarettes. I was a smoker for 10 years, but I have given them up. I tried for two years to quit, but after a month or two I would still go back to smoking. I don't avoid cigarettes all together. The first couple of times I quit, I was lured back to smoking in different situations. When I went to a bar and many people were smoking, it made me want to smoke. When my family gets together, they all smoke, and I had a ciggarette with them. The next day I bought a pack. Each time I quit and began smoking again, and each time I became more addicted than before. However it took many times of trying to quit smoking in order to figure out where my pitfalls were. When I finally determined to quit for good, I had to mentally prepare myself for the temptations I would face in my everyday experiences, and then tackled them head on. While still craving cigarettes very badly, I went to a few bars and forced myself to sit there without having a single cigarette. I also put myself around my friends and family who still smoked and again forced myself to sit there without asking for a cigarette. By putting myself in those types of situations while I was most vulnerable to temptation, I finally acheived the willpower to not only quit smoking, but to also not ever pick them up again. The temptation to smoke may always be with me, and I will never be able to avoid them because they are everywhere. But it is the ability to not give in to that temptation that defines my character. Now that I have overcome smoking, I literally feel that I can do anything else I put my mind to. Everything else, by comparison, becomes easily attainable. Great question by the way! I hope this is the type of response you were looking for.

My biggest temptation is this 21 year old mother of two who lives across the way. She has me over all the time because she knows my wife works, and I think she thinks shes being a good neighbor, but shes getting really touchy feely with me. I don't give in, and infact I stopped hanging out with her. Only reason I did in the first place was because she was hanging out with her twins all day with no adult companionship, but I think she sees me as the baby daddy now, and shes tryin to jump my bone. It sucks it has to be that way, but my marriage means more to me than her well being.

my biggest temptation was my salsa instructor, cute, nice, and he was obviously flirting on me (my friend noticed it as well)... but the bad news: his girlfriend was also my instructor and a very nice girl.
