Egermeier's Bible Storybook - because the paintings made the people look like they were real people. Also I loved pop-up books - we had one of Snow White and one about a girl named Cindy who baked a cake but it was too big for the oven, so she had to start over. Too many others to mention.

"Eloise" by Kay Thompson!! I ADORED that book and absolutely wore it out! It's a sweet story for children and I have wonderful memories of me and my mom reading it together. Ahh, good times.
