Why do people try to use chopsticks when there is a fork right there? To try to show off?or to stain shirts?

But to answer it--They eat slower and know at an appropriate time that they are full. Eating with a fork usually allows more food in your mouth at one time.

It usually takes 20 minutes for your body to let the brain know that it is full. Too many times, people overeat without knowing that they really are not hungry anymore.

Because forks can only poke food. Chop sticks are like an extension of your fingers. Theyre easier to use anyway.

Don't look at it as trying to show-off or impress someone, but look at it as someone trying something new to experience a different culture. I'm sure some people try to be different for flashy and show offy appeal, but a lot of people just like trying something new, to experience a different culture, or just see if they can do it.
