Congrats!!!!!! OMG I am so happy for you i am pregnant too!!!!!I am 8 months!!!
No but there is a test called Chorionic Villus Sampling (CVS) This diagnostic test is usually performed between 8 and 11 weeks gestation, sometimes as late as 13 weeks. This is generally a test for people who have a high risk of genetic abnormalities. Test results are available within 7 to 14 days. Miscarriage rate from CVS is about 4%, recent studies indicate that if the CVS is done before 10 weeks gestation there is an added risk (.5% to 1.7%) of limb deformity, and about 3% CVS is associated with serious decline in amniotic fluid protection. There is a greater incidence of false positives because of the differences between the cellular genetic material of the choirionic villi and the fetus. There is a small chance that the sex they determine is wrong as well. There are other tests but this one is the earliest one you can have so just wait a couple more weeks and then you will know I think this is it because my sister is a nurse and thsi is what she told me!!!!! Good Luck!! Tell me what the baby's gender is!!! OK email me!!!
Amniocentisis

This diagnostic test is performed as early as 9 weeks and for diagnostic purposes, 18 weeks gestation. There is a risk of 1-1.5% miscarriage and 1% chance of other pregnancy complications (infection, premature labor, injury to the fetus, cord, or placenta, rupture of membranes, etc.). The tests take about 2-4 weeks to run. There is a small chance that the sex they tell you is incorrect. This one is a little bit risky!!

Ultrasound

While ultrasound can be performed at any stage of pregnancy for the purpose of finding out the sex it is best done between 18 and 26 weeks. Most care providers will not give an ultrasound for the specific purpose of finding out the sex, and the American College of OB/GYNs has issued a statement against routine ultrasound exposure during pregnancy. However, most physicians do not heed this warning. Adequate studies on ultrasound safety have not been done, but we do know that ultrasound exposure can change the way the cell reproduces and moves. There have also been studies indicating that ultrasound heats up the cells. This method is the most frequent for finding out the sex of a baby, however, it is the least accurate. Accuracy depends on several factors: baby's cooperation, gestational age, technician's ability, etc

Well....I found out when I was only 4 weeks by a home pregnancy test that I was possibly pregnant. I called my OBGYN and they told me the pregnancy wasn't even in my uterus yet. So I had to wait 2 more weeks to go to the doctor to make for certain. Almost 4 years ago I had a tubal pregnancy and they were going to make sure that this pregnancy was not in my other and only tube. They had to do a vag. ultra sound at 6 weeks. It is only the size of a grain of rice so there is no possible way to even know the gender at this point. I have had ultra sounds at 6 weeks 2 days--my first, and 14 weeks 2 days--to get the heart rate. My baby is stubborn at the moment or was that day. They could not find the heart beat with the Doppler so I had to have a quick ultra sound. I go on the 22nd, I will be 18 weeks 2 days to do another ultra sound to see what the gender is--hopefully! But just hang in there the time will fly! I am due in November and it just seems like I just found out that I was pregnant. Lynn

Not yet, ultrasound would not be helpful since the genitalia are indistinguishable at this point. It's also too early for your doctor to do an amniocentisis, they usually aren't done until twelve weeks.

6 weeks is way too early to find out. 5-6 months is best & that's about when your OB should schedule you for an ultrasound/sonogram.

Not until you are about 16 weeks along. The ultrasound is the best way.

you can't find out until 20 weeks or so. there is always the string method. take a string and tie something sentimental to the end (like your wedding ring) dangle it over your belly and if it goes side to side, boy. Circles is a girl.

P.S. not scientifically proven. I did it just for fun.

There are DNA tests you can buy on the internet that claim 200% guarantee. I've never tried one, but they say they can detect as soon as 5 weeks pregnant.

the only way to tell that early would be genetic testing because the sex organs havent formed yet
