I think you answered your own question, the kids are being left behind cuz they are dumb. so the prez wants them to repeat the same grade so they won't be dumb. You get it? Ha ha !!! I'm just joking. Um, I personally HATE BUSH! He NEEDS TO BE THE ONE IN IRAQ AND IRAN INSTEAD OF SENDING THOUSANDS OF OUR YOUNG MEN OUT TO DRY!!! HE'S NOTHING BUT A F*** HEAD. SO I REALLY DON'T CARE HOW HE F***S THE US CUZ STUPID AS$ AMERICANS VOTED HIM INTO OFFICE

Its so the minorities will stop blaming white people for all of their problems. The african-american community is playing "victim" and so are the mexicans, they just dont want to take responsablility for the fact that they dont do as well in school, mostly because the crime rate is higher in minorities. The president just wanted to finish his daddies war, besides Saddam was putting his people in vats of acid while they were alive...
so yea, the point...
the point is to make sure that just because minorities think they have it bad, doesnt mean that their kids do. Its suppose to make sure that everyone has a good chance at education, even though being a HS graduate doesnt get you any more money. and the fact that all the illegals have the jobs that HS graduates are suppose to be filling, not to mention the fact that minimum wage is too low to live on, and inflation has tripled prices in the last 10 years.

The No Child Left Behind Law came first. The theory is to force standardized testing of students to get report cards on how well individual schools are doing. If schools aren't acceptable, they must improve in 'every demographic group' as a condition of funding.
Nothing wrong with the idea, but the actual program has many flaws.

This law is just a fake. The law only requires a part of the class to pass, but not all. It's name, "no children left behind", really doesn't apply to the law because there are students who don't pass. This law is just a fake, so don't believe.

It's a slogan expounding a populist ideal in order to gather popular support. It would be nice if every child in America got a good education. But mostly, it's just an ideal. Maybe someday our society will be capable, so it's good to keep aspiring.

( been cut ) social promotion has been the order of the day , just keep letting them graduate ,. any nation that does not educate and invest in it's young has no future,.. even the Mighty United States,. i guess they think we can get by on our looks alone,.. Ohh that wont' work either ,. most of us are over weight,..not looking too good huh ?

not much too understand, it was an election gimmick with an idea based on promoting child welfare,
what they should ahve done is given more money to the schools, imagine what could be done in schools with just the money that candidates spend on a campaign....kinda make u sick?
