I spent my first 25 years in England and the rest (33) over here and I don't know why they don't like us, but being a Brit from birth I can tell you that they are opinionated and a tough audience so don't take it personal. They have no reason to not like Americans. Could be envy couldn't it?

Out of the millions of people that live in all of Britain, how can you come to the conclusion that you are disliked by all Brits?
If a few British people on Yahoo say something against Americans and you think all of them dislike Americans, then you are sadly not too rational or capable of using logic.
If 350 million people live in a country and 7 tell me they hate me, doe that mean the other 349 999 993 people hate me too? Try to think clearly about what you are saying. There are nice people all over the world and there are idiots all over the world too.
Imagine the case where an American is married to a British person and they move to Canada and have a child there and then move to France and have another child and then all these people like each other.
Then they move to Morocco when their daughter is 18 and she falls in love with a Moroccan guy and they have children and move to India where they become Friends with many Indian people.
And suddenly there are Americans, British, French, Moroccan and Indians who all get along?
Well I hope this helps.

You have the feeling that the British don't like you is a fairly sweeping statement and much like saying all Americans hate the British. Unfortunately we can often have our opinions tainted by the views of those in power or who are able to gain a platform for their views. Just because your President or our Prime Minister says something, doesn't mean we all believe it, but this can lead to misunderstanding. I like Americans (but I couldn't eat a whole one...) and I believe all I have met have been at least indifferent to where I come from. The only thing that grates a little is the whole 'we won the war for you' and 'if it wasn't for us you'd all be speaking German'. Honestly, have a read of some history books and try to understand.

why keep it limited to the British .most of the world is included in that .
and do you wonder .
Bush said that if Europe was not with him( in wanting to commit genocide )they would be against him.
so by these words .peace loving countries have become enemies of the USA.
not counting all the countries that the USA has waged war on in the last century,in Asia,Central America,Africa, and the Middle East.
in the quest for world domination and control by the USA,who wants to rule the world.
the whole world is scared of Americans, how can you blame them.
And to be scared means---------- not to like

got news for you, there's a lot of countries don't like USA anymore. and who can blame them? look at some of the bozo americans that post here. it has nothing to do with 1776, no one cares about that. nothing to do with WW2, most of those people are dead or too old to matter.
again i call your attention to the many jerks that post here. what would you think of some one who dissed everything you said, did, or thought? and how would you feel about someone who might pick up a gun and start bustin' caps at the drop of a hat?
there are many, if not most americans that are cool, or at least alright, but we are not the loud ones. we need to get our house in order. ..........ahem. sorry for the rant. Peace.

Strange that they don't like Americans considering that both the British and Americans are arrogant, pompous a$$holes cut from the same dirty cloth.

The French and the British have both turned against us. Too long of a story to explain here.
I say "good riddence" to them, at least until they get smart and rethink their position.

They can't get used to the idea that the people they kicked out have descendants who are better than them...
And for those who think we "butcher" their language, have you heard some of the Brits talk?
