H E double hockey sticks is a euphemism for the word "hell". The hockey sticks represent the letter "L" due to similarity in shape.

It's the Baptist version of Hell, otherwise known as heLL. Unlike the conventional version of Hell, heLL is constantly frozen over. It is intermittently overrun with rampant violence, brutality and noise before descending into mind-numbingly dull stupors (during which it is resurfaced to better facilitate the next bout of violence). Some people believe that there is purgatory to either side of heLL, but they insist that only the particularly violent and brutal folks in heLL go in there before going right back out to heLL, so I'm not sure how that theology contributes to an actual belief system.

HELL- It's just a real conservative way of saying it. Usually people who don't swear and think that saying hell is bad do that. Or some people say it that way around children.

Are you sure you didn't know that already?
