FORZA AZZURRI!!! Hopefully Lippi gives Inzaghi and Del Piero a chance to be in the field for 90 minutes ... they would have scored 2 goals more. Both of them are starving for goals!
I keep my fingers crossed for Italy - but unfortunately they get very nervous and distracted when the going gets rough (especially penalties - remember World Cup USA '94, Baggio and Baresi?), as shown during the second half of the match. If it wasn't for the Ghanese goalkeeper, and the field players lacking of precise shots, Italy would have lost for sure.
I guess, now that they've won the first match they really are a potential candidate for the final, as they were really demoralized by the Juventus-scandal and had a lot of pressure on them...
I'd love to see them win - but still there's France and Brazil and maybe also the Czechs, Germans and Dutch...

Well I would dearly love to see my guys the Australian Socceroo's win, but as much as I'd love that I don't think it will come to fruition. So yep my next faves are Italy. They were my pick from the go get. I was supporting them in the 2002 World Cup also.
What a great morning I had this morning, the Socceroo's proved that they have the determination to never give in and then Italy defeated Ghana. This is the happiest day I have had in a long long time!!!!!

Ok people let me just tell you that Italy are not that good. There is no way that they will get past the last 16 and if they do they will either play France or Brazil so I don't think so. ENGLAND ALL THE WAY

The Italy/Ghana game was good, and the Ghanaian goalie was awesome, except when he left the goal wide open for the 2nd goal. Italy's got a lot of actors in the team.....buncha fakers....
