They have their various "World Series" games in baseball...from my previous questions claim to be able to conquer the globe, yet this introverted race of people can't "GET" one of the worlds great levellers...Soccer I beleive it is called in the USA.....
(They don't understand cricket either......or do they).

Yeah, nothing like watching non stop injury faking. What a great sport. Sure would love to see you Euros take a hit from Ray Lewis or Ronnie Lott without any padding. Feel free to attempt to tackle Barry Sanders or Jerome Bettis. Or for that matter, wear some pillows, it'll still hurt like a SOB. By the way, when Ronnie Lott played, he had half of his pinky finger cut off during a game so he could continue playing. You know, playing through a legitimate injury. Oh wait, you dont know about that.

Cricket's easy to understand; it's just dull because it takes forever to play. If you think American football is just a load of girls in heavy padding, try playing someday, and you'll understand the need for the pads, and the time between plays, etc., especially if you play it in the South in the summer, or the North in the winter (besides, most Europeans would die in our climate).

Actually, one of the world's great "levellers" is the Olympics, and we usually kick everyone's asses in the Summer games.

because they just don't have the love and understanding of the game we have. They have their sports such as "baseball" and "pansy rugby" which are basicly more based on commercial breaks than anything else. Football is a real sport , it is about logic and strategy which obviously is not one of america's few values , and that is why they will hopefully be kicked out in the first round and hopefully never ever play football again and leave it to us , they can play their rubbish games nonone will stoip them but please stay away from football

My boyfriend's American and loves "real" football (not American Football) - and much prefers playing our football to theirs. He found it really frustrating playing "defense", only to be brought off for his team to attack, then have to wish for the team to get into a losing position for him to go back on the field again to play defense again. He's going to watch as much football as possible during the World Cup (as am I, being English and obsessed with footie).

He also understands cricket (and we've watched it live at Old Trafford), but plays baseball really well (at college level).

I was always under the impression that American Football players were a lot of girls, afterall wearing all that padding, helmet etc.

Last time I flew to Chicago, saw a game on TV and one of the poor dudes broke his neck and died on the field, Big bear of a guy too.

Damn shame, had a family too - poor guy.

You think cricket is bad, Baseball is quite possibly the worst sport I have ever witnessed. I'll give you basketball; that's pretty good. The actual rules are just rubbish and all who play are steroid loving junkies.

Considering the Yanks are at the world cup & the American women are world cup winners, God help us once they get the hang of it.
As for cricket, who cares, I'd rather watch paint dry!

That's because football don't get stopped every 2 seconds like in American football, and they're stats crazy, which I don't get. No halftime cheerleaders in skimpy clothing either.

Cricket? What's cricket? Just kidding....

THE GIRL'S IN PADDING DO'NT HAVE A CLUE HOW TO PLAY FOOTBALL , JUST RUN AND GRUNT FOR 2 HOUR'S OR SO AND THAT'S A GOOD GAME TO THEM , 4 QUARTER'S , WHY THEY CAN'T BE TIRED . TO THICK TO UNDERSTAND CRICKET . THEY SHOULD TRY RUGBY NO PAD'S

To anyone who says American 'foot-ball' players 'need' all the padding, watch Aussie rules Rugby... then tell me about necessary padding. That's a man's sports...

And before you come at me about all the big guys, please... fat a**es who are propagating the obesity myth so prevalent in America. No pride and sense whatsoever
