I have an old copy of diablo and I was wondering if blizzard still lets you play online on bnet or if I should just not even bother installing it.

Yes, it is supported online. You use "multiplayer" charaters which are saved in your Diablo 1 Folder wen playing online. However if you play online most of the quests are taken out.

They do but not many people play it so it will most likly mbe like siongle player try D2 and D2lod.

You should absolutely upgrade to D2.
