You need to have the ice maker changed out. What you are getting is a plastic coating from the mold part of the ice maker (the part where the water sets & freezes)
Some genious engineer decided to add this coating to help the ice cubes break free from mold easier. As the icemaker ages, the coating loses its bond, & you see these little flecks in the ice cubes.
The new icemakers have a clear, extremely thin coating on them & I haven't seen any problems with them.

It is a build up of bacteria from the water. It happens every where. The soda machines at your favorite fast food place, etc. The filter or where the water comes from just needs a good wipe.

could be mould sounds yucky but true, ask any bartender about the ice machines in bars, the bad bars are truly awful

Have you checked your ice maker for mold?I would seriously empty it out and bleach it.
