Think about never loving anyone or anything. Imagine living your entire life like that. Surely you have loved before a pet, best friend , family, a sport, pineapples, a boy. Maybe you have found a special someone and he has broke your heart. These things happen but would you honestly give up sharing your love with someone just because it hurts to lose them? Loss comes its a natural part of life. Nothing last forever but think of all the good you are doing for the other person. Not only are you getting the benefit of their love but they are benefiting from you loving them........I guess by now you can tell my opinion. It is by far better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.

Loved & lost is not fun, in fact it hurts like crazy & the only people who can say it is better than never having loved at all clearly haven't ever been hurt by someone they care about

Hard to say. One who was formerly in love will always have those memories - but might become very sad or depressed. One who has never been in love, will not know the pain associated with losing a love.

Sometimes losing love doesn't mean breaking up, but that the other person dies. I can assure you that you would rather have had that person, even a short time, than not at all if you really loved them.

I have loved and lost:it is a beautiful experience to be in love. Its comparable to nothing other than the birth of your first child(lol). When I lost my love I was bitter and angry, and most of all hurt.In hindsight,it was abeautiful expereince to have someone care for you that way.

The pain of having loved and lost might be as equal as having not.

So eitherway is bad.
