I think it has potential, but it's just poorly managed. A lot of favoritism occuring on the staff's part.

The quality of responses you get is the quality of answer you posted. Yahoo Answer is helpful to those who really asks questions that they need aswer to. Likewise, some people treat it as a big joke, hence, some reply is waste of time reading; which makes you wonder people actually wasted time typing answers or questions that are considered "stupid."
If ever you think Yahoo Answer is stupid, why not generalize that the whole internet thing is stupid; since Yahoo Answer lives up to the internet alter-name: the information super-highway.

I think some of the people make it stupid because some questions they could have used the time they took to type the question on here to look up the answer themselves. Some questions are easier to get an answer for if you ask on here.

I think its a cool place, and a great place to help others as long as its not being abused. I like to hope people will be more realistic and post real questions not just some stupid ones that makes no sense. Other than that its great!

It is really great. I think a lot of people appreciate it because it's a really good way to solve problems and get input. And there are a few laughs along the way.
Please don't knock it. I have been computing for 17 years and I think this was due to come along.

Sometimes, i think i'm stupid to stay here, asking and answering, seems so pointless.
But in fact, i believe this have made me know there are lots of diferent people, who has all kind of ideas, interests and knowledge, and that have help me being more tolerant, and even learn from people who is diferent than me.
Besides, i believe i have improved my english, altougth i notice everytime the lack of vocabulary i have, it encourages me to learn new words, so i can communicate what i want to say.

It's far from stupid -- it could be immense help for some people . The stupid part is some of the idiots who send in stupid unanswerable questions

As long as crazy questions and mindless quips and gags(as answers) are there,any system would be stupid.But Yahoo or any relevant ones make real sense, and sensible users always relish.

well, why are you on it then?
as long as it doesn't run your life...if you have a social life outside of yahoo answers, then you're fine. Like, I have a girlfriend and a bunch of people I chill with (school doesn't count because I know a bunch of nerds with no friends say they hang out with people at school). So, that's fine.
