Anyone from Alpharetta,GA. Because I was told by a realtor that I need to look out for scorpions. Is this true

Although elusive, they are somewhat common in northern Georgia. I have found them under overturned rocks as far north as the shores of Lake Cumberland in southern Kentucky.

Yes this is true there are scorpions in North Georgia. They particularly like outdoor rocky soil, dark places, places with rocks and tree cover.

Also they are pretty fond of shoes, as I remember.

Look at it this way Scorpions in North Georgia, Brown Recluses in Alabama, Timber Rattlers in Tennessee........... pick your poison, everybody has their phobias :-)
